Health Minister to open Traralgon site PDF Print E-mail

The Hon. Daniel Andrews, Minister for the Health will officially open Latrobe Community Health Service’s newly refurbished Traralgon premises this Friday 18 September at 11 am. The community are invited to attend and take advantage of free health checks and an opportunity to tour the building between 12 am and 2 pm.

LCHS offer many services at their Traralgon site including physiotherapy, dietetics, occupational therapy, podiatry, diabetic education, lymphoedema management, counselling services for families and children, drug and alcohol assistance, Gambler’s Help, community health nursing, education, women’s health, wound management, health promotion and education program activities.


The building now boasts seven counselling rooms, four consulting rooms, a treatment room, a physio room, two meeting rooms and a large community room. In addition there is space for 16 staff in an open plan office. All of this allows LCHS to provide the highest quality care and support to the community.

Chief Executive Officer Ben Leigh said that, “The building was purchased in 2008 following an extensive review of many options over the past few years. The opportunity to purchase a building so close to the CBD means our services are conveniently located and accessible to the wider community of Traralgon.

We are looking forward to offering this unique opportunity for the public to get a behind-the-scenes glimpse of our service.”
