Donations and bequests

As a not-for-profit community based health service, community support is vital to ensure the future of our service in this region. Your commitment as a community member means a lot to us.

Donations

Latrobe Community Health Service provides a large number of programs to people of all ages throughout the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland. Government funding does not fully cover the costs of providing these services and therefore we need the support of the community we serve.

When making a donation to Latrobe Community Health Service, you have the choice of donating to a particular program or to the organisation as a whole. Many donors choose to provide a general donation which enables LCHS to utilise the funds where they are needed most. All donations to Latrobe Community Health Service over $2 are tax-deductible. Upon receiving a donation, Latrobe Community Health Service will provide you with a letter of acknowledgement and a receipt.

Bequests

Many people, having made provision for their families, decide to support their favourite charities by leaving a bequest in their Will.

Donors can leave a percentage of their estate or a fixed dollar amount. Another option is to name Latrobe Community Health Service as a residuary beneficiary, leaving what remains after specific bequests to loved ones are paid. Once again, funds can be left to a specific program or to the organisation as a whole.
